Family Engagement at Leytonstone School

Leytonstone School warmly welcomes all families and is proud to introduce Halyna Mentes, the Family Engagement Partner. Ms Mentes works closely with families to support students’ learning and provides opportunities for families to become more involved with school life.

Services available include:

• Daily Drop-In Surgery
  A drop-in surgery runs every morning from 8.30–9.30am, offering families the chance to discuss any questions relating to their child’s learning or general school matters. Telephone or online meetings can also be arranged by email request.

• Access to Waltham Forest Services
  Ms Mentes can support families in accessing a wide range of local services, such as guidance on housing applications, financial support, or information on training courses available within the borough.

• Community Engagement
  The school is developing events designed to enhance students’ learning experiences while strengthening community connections. Families are encouraged to share their ideas for involvement, and Ms Mentes welcomes suggestions on how the school can work together with its community.
