Councillor Loakes School Visit

On Monday 18th November, Pupil Parliament invited deputy leader of Waltham Forest Council, Councillor Clyde Loakes, to their latest meeting.

We had many excellent discussions regarding students’ concerns about the safety, visibility and litter in the section of Epping Forest by the school, the decision over whether to make Colworth Road a school street, and new measures to increase cycling and the recycling of food waste in Waltham Forest.

Councillor Loakes also offered Pupil Parliament advice on how to resolve issues they were concerned about within school, and provided insight on how decisions are made on a Borough wide level.
