At Leytonstone School, being ‘ready to learn’ is an expectation of every pupil in our school. An important part of being ready to learn is to be correctly dressed in the Leytonstone School uniform. We believe that the wearing of the correct school uniform creates a sense of belonging and community, fosters pride. It also significantly reduces pressure on pupils and their families to keep up with current fashion trends. 

Most main school uniform items can be purchased from other reputable shops such as:

To support affordability for families, we have limited the number of required branded uniform items to 3 including the school tie, below the statutory limit of 4. These items are listed below in bold and can be purchased from the school uniform shop (Victoria2SchoolWear).

School Uniform

• Black, formal, tailored school trousers or shorts, or black, pleated school skirt 
• Blazer with school logo (or iron-on badge on plain black school blazer)
• White shirt
• School tie
• Optional: Black jumper with school logo or plain, black, knitted V-neck jumper - hoodies are not permitted

Footwear

• Plain, black, formal, leather closed-toe shoes 

PE Kit

PE kit options at Leytonstone School are designed to give all pupils the ability to perform in high-quality sportswear whilst also taking into account weather conditions, activities studied and pupil preference.

• PE T-shirt or long-sleeved top - with school logo 
• Plain, black sports shorts, skirt, skort or jogging bottoms - leggings are not permitted
• Plain, black sports socks 
• Trainers with non-marking sole

 

Presentation

• Ties should be pulled to the top shirt button
• Shirts must be tucked in and top buttons done-up
• Jewellery should not be worn, with the exception of one small stud per ear
